Born and raised in San Francisco, Daniel fell in love with photography when he was just a wee lad. After graduating from college he moved to Europe and spent the next few years in Paris and then Milan assisting and shooting. Daniel always had a strong inclination toward visual arts but those particular years of working and living in Europe had a lasting influence on his photographic style. Upon returning to the states he landed in New York where he has spent the last dozen plus years collaborating with and shooting for top magazines, ad agencies and art directors. Daniel now splits his time between New York and California. He considers ALL work to be personal work and brings his energy and enthusiasm to every shoot.
When not shooting Daniel can often be found at daybreak atop a surfboard paddling out to enjoy the ocean's offerings. Daniel and his wife Rosie are also kept busy by their dynamically active 6 year old twin sons, Maxwell and Nicholas.
